Good news for You Me At Six fans! The band has shared details of their seventh studio album, SUCKAPUNCH, set to drop on 15th January via Underdog Records/AWAL.

The announcement comes with a new single and video clip, Beautiful Way, taking inspiration from the ancient concept of the red thread of fate. It follows on from lead single MAKEMEFEELALIVE, which dropped just last month.
“We have been in the pursuit of happiness for quite some time, both collectively and individually, only to discover that happiness is more than just a state of mind,” says frontman Josh Franceschi on what inspired the record. “We had to face our pain head on and carve it into something positive. Our seventh studio album is the result of us finding peace and acceptance of what’s been and gone.”
SUCKAPUNCH was recorded over five weeks at Karma Sound studio in Bang Saray, Thailand. Once again, the band buddied up with producer Dan Austin, who’s worked with the likes of Biffy Clyro, Massive Attack and Pixies.
In their 15 year career, You Me At Six have seen multiple top ten charters in their home of the UK, and have also topped the rock charts in Australia. Their last album VI dropped back in 2018, bringing a stack of radio-friendly pop tunes with it.
It’s understandably been a quiet year on the touring front, but the band will celebrate the release of the album next year with a string of underplay shows across the UK, with support from Saint Phnx & Noisey – here’s hoping some Australian dates will be announced soon!
