MEET THE MANSFIELD ROCKS LINE-UP
CLOWNS are Melbourne punk rock royalty, releasing four albums to date and touring all over the world—their devil may care attitude and hellion-screaming sound has seen them play massive festivals such as Groezrock, Dead of Winter and even metaldom’s hallowed turf: the vaunted Wacken Open Air. Not only that, in 2019 Nature/Nurture was nominated for an ARIA Award for Best Hard Rock or Heavy Metal Album. This will mark CLOWNS triumphant return to Brisbane after being away for over two long years!
LOSER
Aussie-indie supergroup LOSER, comprising Tim Maxwell (Apart From This/Grim Rhythm), Craig Selak (The Bennies), and Chris Cowburn (The Smith Street Band), will be rocking the Tavern with their flannelette slacker sounds, with selections taken from electric debut Mindless Joy.
C.O.F.F.I.N
C.O.F.F.I.N ooze pub rock charisma: with a flick of their wrist over the pickguard, you’re under. A throaty mix of punk and classic parma n’ pint riffs, C.O.F.F.I.N whip up an unforgettable headbanger experience
TOTAL PACE
TOTAL PACE keep us spinning further into superstardom, itself a mish-mash of Violent Soho, I Heart Hiroshima and DZ Deathrays members. We said they’re “gritty, loud and sound like an amp hooked straight up to a keg of beer.” Nuff said.
SOMETHING SOMETHING EXPLOSION
Punk-rock trio SOMETHING SOMETHING EXPLOSION cut a sweaty dive bar figure, rubbing shoulders with punk royalty such as Jay Whalley (Frenzal Rhomb) and party machines The Bennies, will certainly rattle the bones of Mansfield and the next suburb over.
BOYSCLUB
An all grrrl riot inspired by L7, The Distillers and Hole, Sydney’s BOYSCLUB are well on their way to becoming an alt rock/grunge household name. Catch them ahead of their first major release, due sometime in 2021.
ANTY!
ANTY! (also of The Bennies) is the one part party, one part machine, one part THC processing factory that’ll get you dancing and grooving all night long with a mix of weird and wonderful sounds drawn from the Caribbean to the Central Coast.
