PREMIERE: SOME HEARD TROUBLE // Drop New Single ‘Permanence’

Melbourne’s Some Heard Trouble are ready to cement their status as one of hardcore’s most exciting up-and-comers with their latest single Permanence.

MORE: KICK OUT THE JAMS with IN HEARTS WAKE // PRIVATE FUNCTION: It’s Always Their Line REVIEWS: ALPHA WOLF: a quiet place to die // MARILYN MANSON: We Are Chaos // NOFX/FRANK TURNER: West Coast Vs. Wessex // IN HEARTS WAKE: Kaliyuga // SEETHER: Si Vis Pacem, Para Bellum // PRIVATE FUNCTION: Whose Line Is It Anyway? // AGNES MANNERS: Fantasia Famish // MOVEMENTS: No Good Left To Give

It’s a hard-hitting number, and unsurprisingly also an extremely personal one for the four-piece. It focuses on both the experiences of grief and the loss of a family member, and also speaks of the gut-wrenching experience of watching someone slip through the void as they come to the end of their life. The same emotions carry through to its monochromatic music video, made in partnership with Amy McIntosh of The Beautiful Monument

Permanence will feature on the band’s first EP Scorpion, set to drop in the coming months. In a statement, they explained it to be a conduit of change, as well as a collection of songs inspired by political issues and the loss of a loved one. The EP will also focus on emotions and the defining moments of the human experience.

Some Heard Trouble originally began as a creative outlet for friends back in 2016. It has since become a fully-fledged unit, bringing together the musical wizardry of Cameron, Jarrad, Brodie and Josh. Their first two singles, Comfort and Benzo Fury were released in 2016 and 2018 respectively. Following this, the band buddied up with Scottie Simpson (Alpha Wolf) and took their sound to the next level on Sweet Tooth and BloodEyes. They’ve also toured with the likes of Advocates and Drown This City, while embarking on their own weekender run through Newcastle and Sydney.

Permanence will officially drop tomorrow on all digital outlets. Keep your eyes on Some Heard Trouble’s socials, more details will follow on their upcoming Scorpion EP- if Permanence is anything to go by, we’re in for an absolute treat!
