Their spankin’ new track was produced by Stevie Knight (Yours Truly, Stand Atlantic, The Dead Love), and mixed by James Paul Wisner (Hands Like Houses, Underoath). It’s out now on streaming services worldwide.
The band explained the meaning behind the song stating “The song is about turning a negative into a positive. It follows the story of [frontman] Josh [Cottreau] leaving home in Nova Scotia, Canada, and illegally hitching a train to Toronto to start a better life playing in bands and following his dreams which eventually lead him to Sydney, Australia.”
Supporting the single, the band will tour the East Coast on a run of headline shows with dates in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.
Previous singles One For You One For Me and Voices were embraced by Aussie radio staples triple j, triple j Unearthed, and 4ZZZ plus landed on the Spotify Punk Unleashed and New Punk Tracks playlists last year. We thought their previous EP For Nothing was a belter too.
In only a few short months in 2019 they went from zero to supporting Gyroscope on national tour. They also supported Halloween Hysteria alumni Bare Bones and sold out their EP launch at the lauded Chippo. FANGZ scored support slots with two of their biggest influences in Cancer Bats and Comeback Kid at the end of 2019. According to our interview, there kinda wouldn’t be a FANGZ without Cancer Bats.
