It’s their first release of 2020, and once again sees the trio blur the lines between trap, R&B, and alternative rock.

Along with it, the band has also announced their signing to Fearless Records, becoming the second Australian band to join the American punk label’s roster over their 28-year history.

“As our first release of the year, we wanted to come back strong with a song that reflected the chaotic world around us,” the band says in a statement. “We wrote the song in one night and travelled to the Mojave desert to film the music video the next day.”

They’ve amassed over 200 million streams in the last few years and received praise across the music media.

Unsurprisingly, it’s been relatively quiet on the touring front this year, with the exception of a ticketed livestream concert from their adopted Los Angeles home back in April. Pre-COVID, the trio headlined shows across the US, UK, and Europe, selling out venues including Webster Hall in New York, Kentish Town Forum in the UK, and The Regent Theater in Los Angeles. On top of this, they’ve featured on festival bills including Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and Reading and Leeds.

First beginning as boyband What About Tonight, members Christian Anthony and Mitchel Cave entered season 4 of The X Factor Australia before being eliminated in an early round. Adding Mitchel’s brother Clinton into the band, they took on the Chase Atlantic name in 2016. Since, the trio has released a string of EPs, as well as their self-titled debut and last year’s follow-up PHASES.

More news will follow on the bands first release through Fearless Records.

In the meantime, you can stream and purchase Out The Roof through all digital outlets.
