Pop-Punk Perfect

Dust off your copies of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater and pull your Macbeth’s out of the back of your wardrobe. Catnip Kaiser’s latest offering, Pull Me Down, is another high energy number, and it’ll send you right back to the early 2000s.

A spin of any of the lads past singles proves how adept they are at crafting tunes catchier than a cold. Pull Me Down offers something a little different though. This time around, the Albury natives buddied up with Dan Brown of The Amity Affliction, and it’s paid off for them in a big way.

With Brown at the helm, Pull Me Down offers a soundscape with twinges of metalcore. And with that extra eye on production, it’s perfectly suited for both packed clubs and stadiums. Thematically, the track acts as a massive callout to hostile humans intent on tearing others down. Catnip Kaiser has gained quite the reputation for their endearing, honest lyricism, and it’s stuck around here. The back and forth singalongs Pull Me Down will elicit when it hits the stage will be nothing short of insane.

It is polished pop-punk perfection

Pull Me Down shows much growth there’s been in the band in the space of twelve months. It still packs a punch, but it does so in a more refined manner. Catnip Kaiser may have undergone some pretty massive lineup changes in their short history, but this track shows no signs of this. It is polished pop-punk perfection and another gold star release from a band that’s only gathering strength.
