The record will be released in full on 21st May. To celebrate, the band will play a string of shows, kicking off on the Gold Coast on 3rd June.
If you haven’t already guessed it, Dr. Colossus are a band that wears their love for The Simpsons on their sleeves. Spin one of their tracks, and you’ll pick up on the direct link between their lyrics and an iconic episode of the animated sitcom. The first single of the album, Pickabar, is no exception to this, recalling the episode where Homer forgot to pick Bart up from soccer practice (TRABPUKCIP!)
Dr. Colossus has toured with the likes of Red Fang, Acid King, Brant Bjork and Beastwars. In 2019, they teamed up with the US-based Ned Flanders tribute band, Okilly Dokilly, for a massive tour of Australia (and our neighbourino’s in New Zealand). They are known for their theatrical shows, often performed in full Stonecutter gear.
