Though we aren’t inundated with review CDs any more (a what?), our inboxes are crammed …
Darwin-born post-hardcore act Tapestry have just announced a massive national tour, in support of their soon to be released track Never Felt The Same.
MORE: KICK OUT THE JAMS With OCEAN GROVE: A Selection Of Oddworld Favourites // THE AMITY AFFLICTION: Smoke ‘Em If You Got ‘Em // POLARIS: Growth, Death & Change REVIEWS: THE AMITY AFFLICTION: Everyone Loves You… Once You Leave Them // SAVIOUR: The Luna Rose // FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH: F8 // SILVERSTEIN: A Beautiful Place To Drown // MY DYING BRIDE: The Ghost Of Orion
Now settled in to their new home of Melbourne, Tapestry have already set themselves up for a massive 2020 and they haven’t even released new music yet.
Having worked tirelessly on their live show over the past two years—playing festivals such as BASSINTHEGRASS and Yours & Owls while also touring with Thornhill, The Beautiful Monument, Vacant Home and more—the time has clearly come for Tapestry to release something new.
We haven’t heard much from them since the release of their emotional 2018 EP Ghost of Me. However, the announcements we’ve got so far—a massive tour, and a cryptic new website that’s counting down to the release of their new single Never Felt The Same—should get you excited for what’s to come. Never Felt The Same is about “someone breaking you to the point of not knowing if you’ll ever recover”, as vocalist Tom Devine-Harrison states.
As if this news wasn’t enough, Tapestry are also bringing over Cardiff-based Holding Absence. This will be their first time gracing Australian shores in over five years of being a band and we have every reason to feel excited.
Holding Absence elegantly tie together waves of ambience, irresistible melodies and anthems, and melancholic sorrow into their alluring sound. The band released their debut, self-titled album last year, following an enthralling split EP with Liverpool’s Loathe the year prior. This is not a band to miss during their short time in Australia.
