There’s been a whole lot of uncertainty these last few years. But the one thing we’ve been sure of is the superstar status of Yours Truly.

They proved this on their debut LP, Self Care. And now, with is this what i look like? they’ve hit even greater heights.

The EP is a far cry from their 2020 sound, with its heavy angst and darker melodies making it the night to Self Care’s Day. Thematically, is this what i look like? is just as visceral an experience, touching on self-reflection, isolation, uncertainty, anxiety and depression. Aside from the grit it offers, the EP is also a solid reflection of the band’s current influences–and all the different tunes they’ve been spinning on the tour bus. From the dance-floor anthem Lights On to the alt-rock powerhouse Walk Over My Grave to the pop-punk punch of If You’re Drowning (I’ll Learn How To Hold My Breath), is this what i look like? sees the Yours Truly dip into their stylistic bag of tricks with stunning results.

On is this what i look like? Yours Truly have blossomed beyond their pop-punk roots, delivering some of their strongest tunes to date—all without the sugary sweet aftertaste. 

There are also the glitchy beats of the title track—which blend seamlessly into Hallucinate (Ft. Josh Franceschi of You Me at Six). The earwormy run of Bruises (Ft. DR€W ¥ORK of Stray from the Path) and Careless Kind. While ¥ORK and Franceschi shine on their respective tracks, in no way have they dimmed the band’s sparkle. If anything, Delgado and co have delivered their fieriest performance to date. On is this what i look like?
