Now, returning with their first release since crispy 2017 album Omnism, SOMNIUM are delivering a sensory whirlpool of hypnotic rock wonder in Truth Set Me Free as it arrives in a slithering shroud of unsettling synth.

Gripping electric guitar grooves join drifting vocal melodies that move farther from the earth’s surface with each new line. In a blitz of funk-filled bass lines and envious hooks, the second verse grooves and shakes in the lead up to an entrancing guitar solo, before culminating in a sprawling mass of transcending psych-rock magic.

Truth Set Me Free arrives alongside a hallucinatory music video that encapsulates the song’s quest for liberation, featuring James and Anthony in a vision of vibrant colours and wacky visual effects, jamming together in the outcrops of nature.

Written about the search for freedom that can ultimately lead to overindulgence in escapism, SOMNIUM describe the single as:

“An emotive song that relates to personal trials and tribulations that ultimately lead to liberation. However, this newfound liberation leads to a sense of loneliness and an overindulgence in the escape realm.”
