“It feels amazing to finally release another slice of our weird, occult pie with this authentically Rock & Roll presentation. We live in this music, in this constant Rock & Roll dream state. As a band, the records we listen to, the books we read, and the films we watch all bleed into it, so to be able to put that energy out there and have people connect with it is incredibly rewarding.” says frontman Yianni Michalopoulos. “As a song, I think the idea of occupying space in another person’s mind, having a connection on an emotional level, whether it’s romantic or whatever, is something everyone can relate to.”

Society of Beggars (AKA SOB) are originally from Adelaide, but they now reside in Melbourne. Their debut, An EP Called Night, dropped back in 2017 and featured tracks like Terrible Rain and Old Haunts. They have since racked up multiple notches on their touring belts and national airplay. Their forthcoming album, Levitator, will feature Dance the Evil and their past release, God Mode.

Mark your calendars, Melbourne. SOB will launch Dance the Evil at the home of rock itself, Cherry Bar, on the 20th of August. The Crookeds and Paper Tapir will also come along for the ride.

FOR FANS OF: Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Silverchair
