The band describe their music as “upbeat songs for sad people,” and it couldn’t be more fitting, nor could the universe need them more than right now. Whatever, Nevermind screams mid 2000s pop-punk before Snark puts their own pub rock flair to it.

As for the lyrics, Whatever, Nevermind is about the relatable topic of falling in love with the wrong things or the wrong people, with the band explaining, “It’s a song dedicated to the rush you feel before you do something that you know you shouldn’t.”

Snark have a reputation for an energetic live performance, and the music video for the song will give a little sneak peak of what we can expect when things ease up. It shows the trio banging it out in an industrial warehouse area, while enjoying the finer things in life—riding longboards, sinking cans and just vibing on a couch in the middle of the road. Sounds like a great day in the life of lockdown.

Snark are inspired by the likes of PUP, FIDLAR and Blink-182 while staying true to their Aussie roots by channeling local legends Violent Soho and Slowly Slowly. Making a name for themselves early on, Snark have landed themselves in the Punk Top 5 chart with their early singles Wasted Youth and Live It Up, as well as airplay on everyone’s favourite punk segment Short.Fast.Loud.

The band have announced their upcoming debut EP Impostor due out in September, but for now Whatever, Nevermind is available to watch and stream now.
