PREMIERE: Emecia // Unleash New Single ‘Afterlives’

Get ready, mosh lords! Adelaide’s Emecia has turned the energy all the way up with their epic new single, Afterlives.

Accompanied by a music video, the track is yet another blistering blend of post-hardcore and punk-rock- huge in our books! It was inspired by taking opportunities and second chances, with Frontman Scott Midlin saying it’s about “…being given an opportunity by someone and persevering no matter how many times you feel defeated. It’s about keeping positive vibes, as well as looking after your mental health.”

Emecia has gone through some lineup changes, but they are now Scott Middlin on Vocals, Trevor Lehmann on Guitar, Nicholas Evans on Bass and Brayden McPherson on Drums. Following the success of their debut record, Familiar Spirits, in 2018, the band toured extensively, even supporting the likes of Bless The Fall and Like Moths To Flames. Unsurprisingly, this got them a whole lot of attention. In an earlier piece, we said: “These guys have guts. Emecia are an entity breathing as one and have done so since their inception in 2013.”

Afterlives will officially drop on Friday, July 30th. Emecia has also promised more shows are on the way, so keep your ears peeled for more info!
