Glamorise Demise is the debut EP from Headwreck, and it’s left us wondering where the hell these legends have been our whole lives.

It’s clear these Queenslanders grew up on a steady diet of 2000’s metalcore because they’ve served up all the heavy instrumentals, breakdowns and screams we could’ve asked for.
And with their electronic touches and a clear focus on their production, they’ve added that extra sparkle, giving us a glimpse into how exciting their future will look. We reckon the EPs first two tunes, Empty Space and Eulogy, will become the designated pit starters at any Headwreck show. And while they’re easily the most crushing numbers on the record, the band have offered some reprieve with their layered, melodic vocals.
Headwreck has taken their clear love for heavy music and smashed it together with organised chaos.
Our standout track, The End of the Suite, shows the band’s vulnerable side and kicks off on a sombre note before throwing some electronic elements in. Its follow up, the short and sweet Respite, keeps the glitchy goodness coming. And the EPs last two tracks, Nicotine and Freefall, see the band at their neck-snapping (or is that head wrecking?) best again. Headwreck has taken their clear love for heavy music and smashed it together with organised chaos. And in doing so, they’ve delivered a super well-rounded package of tracks that’s left us hungry for more.
STANDOUT TRACKS: Empty Space, The End of the Suite, Freefall
