Since last month’s release of their self-titled Hands Like Houses EP, the alternative rockers are taking their new tunes to the stage. The band took huge strides for the music scene during the pandemic lockdown over the past few months, Hands Like Houses has written and released their latest EP which takes on a reflective and slightly pop rock style compared to their previous album Anon. in 2018. The Hands Like Houses EP uses the current climate by incorporating AUSLAN (Australian Sign Language) in album art and music videos, such as in the music video to their isolation song Space. The band also performed two Live In Ya Lounge livestreams, which involved a full production lightshow and pyrotechnics.

Vocalist Trenton Woodley says that “The ‘Reflect’ Tour is a chance to slow down, take a breath and reflect on the challenges this year has presented, using that experience to inform a new take on the music it’s produced, the opportunities it’s given and the things we’ve missed the most”, including gigs. Hands Like Houses promise to deliver “A reimagined set and a uniquely intimate HLH experience” at these ‘new normal’ COVID-Safe shows.

As you can sadly, clearly see The Reflect Tour doesn’t go all over Australia. Along with the tour announcement on Instagram, the band reassured fans from Victoria, Tasmania, South and Western Australia that the tour was decided upon during the easing of some COVID restrictions that are still in place and affects current touring. Hands Like Houses says that they are “already sussing out what’s possible for a second wave (lol) in a few months’ time” in regards to organising shows for the rest of Australia.

General tickets are on sale from Thursday 19th November 9am AEST.
