Brisbane alt-rock treasures Days Like These have unleashed their boundary-breaking new single, Luna.

Taking a walk on the pop side of life, Luna was inspired by the feeling of lust and giving in to temptation.

“Coming back from recording the Wide Awake EP, we were so inspired to continue writing. We had learnt so much during our time in the studio and wanted to get straight back into it,” says vocalist Callen Batson. “We finished Wide Awake in June 2020, and exactly one year later, we finished writing our second EP. We had one song that didn’t quite fit with the rest of them, but we still felt that we had to release it as it was an avenue we hadn’t explored before, yet we still felt rather comfortable in it. We aren’t afraid to experiment, and we don’t feel limited in what we can or can’t do with our sound.”

Luna was produced and mixed by the band’s long-term collaborator Chris Lalic (Windwaker, To Octavia, The Last Martyr). And massively, it was mastered by the Grammy-nominated engineer, Chris Gehringer (Avril Lavigne, Glass Animals, Lil Nas X). 

Days Like These came together in 2018, and released their debut EP in May of this year. They’ve since supported the likes of Belle Haven and Polaris and also sold out their own EP launch show. 

Recently, the trio announced they would join Starve as support on Diamond Construct’s Hit It Back tour.  They’ll also take the stage at the third instalment of Halloween Hysteria in April, joining the likes of Spiderbait, Mammal, Clowns, RedHook, Gravemind and more.
