MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE // Return With New Song ‘Foundations Of Decay’

My Chemical Romance are back with their first new music in eight years, Foundations of Decay.

MORE: NORTHLANE: From the lyrics to the avant-garde inclusion of trance and DNB elements, Obsidian truly showcases a new era for Northlane. // OCEAN GROVE: Another Voyage To Oddworld REVIEWS: OCEAN GROVE: Up In The Air Forever // SAVIOUR: Shine & Fade // RAMMSTEIN: Zeit // VOID OF VISION: Chronicles II: Heaven // SIMPLE PLAN: Harder Than It Looks // WINDWAKER: Love Language // SILVERSTEIN: Misery Made Me // STAND ATLANTIC: F.E.A.R

The six-minute slow-burn was produced by Doug McKean, Gerard Way, and Ray Toro, with McKean also serving as engineer. The track also sees the band revisit their roots, weaving emo and progressive melodies with a hefty serving of dramatic flair.

MCR released four albums before breaking up in 2013, their final being Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys. They also dropped the rarities compilation, Conventional Weapons, and their greatest hits album, May Death Never Stop You

The band will soon kick off the European leg of their reunion tour. They will then move through North America before finally making their way to our shores (and New Zealand!) in March 2023.

Foundations of Decay is available to stream now.
