Christmas is coming twice for Amity fans this morning, as our prime ‘core export dropped a mysterious teaser trailer that just went live on Instagram.

The Amity fam are cagey boys to say the least, unleashing mosh-heavy banger All My Friends Are Dead this September with zero pre-buzz fanfare.
The teaser features creepy found footage images from the 60s’ atomic scare era; decaying flowers, bodies rising to a water’s surface, and babies crawling over super-8mm grain. LSD and psycho-shock therapy clips is soundtracked by chilling ‘core vocals and piano. Then, guitars invade your senses as ye olde devils and imps dance about prior to flashes of cursed and macabre imagery much like Samara in The Ring or scenes from The Blair Witch Project. Blasting beats under a headbangable riff round out this two-minute nightmare, leaving us wondering if Amity’s sound is now cast in metal moulds.

With only ten days to go until they whip round the country with OddWorlders Ocean Grove and Kiwi heavynauts Antagonist A.D. on their All My Friends Are Dead tour, the question is: what exactly are they teasing? A new single? A new album? Porque los dos?
If—and we stress, IF—the recent single is anything to go by, the album will have fans frothing over it. We said of All My Friends Are Dead: “[the single is] completely out of left field, cathartic and most importantly, pulsates with excitement.
