POP EVIL // Release New Single ‘Breathe Again’ & Announce Sixth Album

Pop going punk is always pretty cool, but when pop goes evil it gets taken to a whole other level.

Michigan’s five-piece rock band Pop Evil have released their third single of 2020, Breathe Again, along with the name reveal of their sixth album, Versatile, due to be released in 2021.

Pop Evil have kept their fans on their toes these past few months while releasing singles of diversity including the radio friendly heavy-pop track Work, headbanger tune Let The Chaos Reign, and now the faster and vocally powerful song Breathe Again.

Breathe Again is one of Pop Evil’s most musically diverse releases so far. Lead vocalist Leigh Kakaty showcases his songwriting and vocal skills across what the band consider to be one of their “most uplifting and soaring choruses to date” created and performed in a song.

After already releasing five albums, Pop Evil are definitely not strangers to the music scene or music charts. The band has been featured numerous times with their No. 1 Billboard Rock singles such as Trenches, Deal with the Devil, Torn to Pieces, Footsteps and Waking Lions. Pop Evil has also been a major festival staple act for the past 10 years.

Pop Evil’s new album Versatile is set to be released in 2021 via Entertainment One (eOne), and will be breaking barriers in terms of variety and diversity in their music style, as seen by the three singles already released this year. Pop Evil are rebels in the sense of them branching out to other genres and mixing them together in their music. The band outlined their future sixth album Versatile as a hybrid mixture of “heaviness with cinematic melody”.
