Progressive metalcore unit Volumes have shared the brand-new music video for their recently released single Pixelate.

“The song is about consuming and ingesting too much social media and news,” the band explains. “It’s about the negative influence that these platforms, applications, and publications have on us today.”

The video shows scenes in the band’s home city of Los Angeles, California and was filmed while the COVID-19 quarantine restrictions were in place, challenging the band to find a way to make it work while adhering to social distancing guidelines.

Earlier this year, Volumes pleased fans with the confirmation of original vocalist Michael Barr returning to the band after a five-year absence, picking up right where they left off in 2015.

The band also shared the new song holywater in early 2020, which alongside Pixelate is another taste of the band’s upcoming full-length album for Fearless Records.

In 2010, Volumes burst out of the gate with The Concept of Dreaming EP. Via followed in 2011 and No Sleep arrived in 2014 and inspired the enthusiasm of a diehard fan base. After initially parting ways with singer Michael Barr in 2015, the band maintained its prolific output on Different Animals (2017) and the Coming Clean EP (2019).
