VERMONT // Unveil Powerful New Single ‘Numb’

Take a whole lot of emo, mix it with alt-rock, and you get Numb, the latest feels-fest from Melbourne powerhouses Vermont.

It was produced, mixed and mastered by Ocean Grove’s Sam Bassal, and is set to feature on their upcoming EP, Mature Minds For Overzealous Kids.

“Choosing the third single off this EP involved a lot of back and forth between a few of our tracks,” said the band. “Ultimately, though, Numb won out as it’s just that little bit different to the rest. The addition of the cheeky lil’ guitar solo in the bridge was a nice touch. Big thanks to Sam for pushing the idea during the production and for making the track as huge as it is.”

Vermont is Joshua Swanwick (Vocals), Jono Hnatejko (guitar), Nathan Borg (Bass) and Curtly Lyon (Drums). Since stomping onto their local scene in 2017, the band has released a stack of potent singles, including Lonely Mind and Breathe, and a self-titled EP. They’ve also toured with local legends like Stuck Out, Stepson, Pridelands, Rumours, Reside, The Comfort and Sleep Talk.

Mature Minds For Overzealous Kids will be released on Friday, July 15th.
