The single, which was much anticipated by eager fans, saw it’s live debut at last year’s Slam Dunk Festival in Leeds, where the band played a headline slot. The track is the third single All Time Low have released in the last six months, and is another taste of their forthcoming record Wake Up, Sunshine.
The track is a snappy three minute explosion of sound, with the band’s signature catchy guitar hooks, tight drum beats with lots of hi-hats, and to-the-point lyrics. We were getaway green /In a world of black and white lead vocalist Alex Gaskarth sings over the chorus, with the catchy melody layered over the heavy musical arrangement. The song pines over the nostalgia of a lost relationship, without being too bittersweet or pessimistic.
All Time Low also released a music video to coincide with the release, which features footage from intimate shows across the globe, including Boston, New York, Baltimore, Leeds, and London from the January just gone. The video featured clips of excited fans waiting in line, ready for the gig and live clips of the band performing, as well as lyrics to the track.
The single is the latest taste of the band’s upcoming record Wake Up, Sunshine, which is due out for release on 3rd April, via Fueled By Ramen. All Time Low will play live on ABC’S Good Morning America on Friday, 3rd April in support of the release. The record includes a multitude of previously unheard tracks, as well as previously released singles Sleeping In and Some Kind Of Disaster.
