Dear Joey and Brooke, What a wild ride! I just wanted to write to express …
Slipknot have given fans something to celebrate before the weekend by dropping their brand new track, The Chapeltown Rag on Friday.

The band have used this opportunity to also reveal their updated masks which (unsurprisingly) look as menacing as ever.
The song will be premiered live tonight when Slipknot play their headlining set at Knotfest Festival in LA. The band will be supported by other high profile acts such as Bring Me The Horizon and Killswitch Engage, as well as other lesser known artists related to the band. These include the group Vended (featuring some of Slipknot member’s sons), and Cherry Bombs (Corey Taylor’s wife Alicia’s dance group).

Although the group have hinted that a new album could be on the horizon by the end of 2021, no firm date has yet been set. Given that it has been over two years since the band released their most recent album We Are Not Your Kind, Slipknot fans will be itching for a follow up record; particularly coming off the back of a grueling period of pandemic lockdowns.
It has been a challenging time for both the band and its fans as of recent, with the passing of legendary drummer and co-founding member, Joey Jordison in July earlier this year. The outreach from current Slipknot members as well as the entire metal community has been incredible to say the least, and his legacy in music will undoubtedly be felt for years to come.
