To mark the occasion, the Melburnians have also shared two lead tracks off the album, Talking To Myself (which comes with an intense video clip) and a punk-rock cover of the Midnight Oil hit, King of the Mountain.
If that wasn’t enough, Private Function has also announced details of their St. Anger National Tour. Running from the end of August to September, the band will make stops in Adelaide, The Gold Coast, Byron Bay, Sydney, Wollongong, Ballarat and Melbourne. They will also play Chopped Festival in Victoria on Saturday 5th October.
St. Anger was recorded live to tape in a single weekend in reservoir with Blood Duster’s Jason Fuller. It is the first full length release from the quintet, who’ve racked up a helluva lot of love over the past two years. It follows on from the release of Six Smokin’ Songs and Rock In Roll. In recent years the band has also performed with the likes of The Bronx, Surfbort and Frenzal Rhomb.
St. Anger will be released on LP/CD/Cassette and all digital platforms via Disdain Records on August 16. Preorders are available now.
