PREMIERE: BRICKLAYERS // Drop New Single ‘Scrambled Eggs’

Brisbane’s Bricklayers have shared another hit of sonic goodness with their latest single, Scrambled Eggs.

Short, sweet and chock full of thunderous riffs, the track is a furious, introspective view of the plight of the working class, and an anthem for all those feeling overworked and underpaid.

Described as “an ode to the fuckery of the endless toil that rarely results in any more than stale bread and breakfast alone”, the track was recorded at The Moon Room, Brisbane by Nell Forster and mastered by Big Willy.

Bricklayers first formed as an impromptu support slot for WA’s Peter Bibby in 2017, bringing together Nathen Glen, Christian Driscoll, Ben Smith, Paco Johnson Cash & Matthew Campbell. Despite their history in bands like Swamp Jenson, The Flamingo Jones, Belligerent Goat, Ben Shock & The Waves, The Duke and Amaringo, the band has shifted it up, championing a fresh, industrial junkyard vibe. 

The five-piece released their debut album, Tan Black and Brown, last year. In our review, we were excited to see what the band had in store, and Scrambled Eggs has not disappointed!
