Pincer+ have brought the heavy and then some on their scorching debut, Angeldust.

It’s one that’ll have hardcore kids cheering, but it also shines a light on their eclectic influences. Along with the single comes news of the bands signing to Greyscale Records. They join the likes of Alpha Wolf, Bloom and Justice For The Damned.

In a statement, guitarist Josh Ang explained Angeldust to be inspired by a failed relationship and the resentment this gave him toward the world and his personal beliefs.

“From pain and loss, from hatred and heartbreak, from the feeling of being betrayed by our understanding of God and gods; Pincer+’s creation was one of furious necessity, and that rage has led to the creation of something heavy enough to make even those gods pay attention,” he says.

Ang produced and recorded the track in-house and also wrote it. The final touches came from drum and vocals recorded at Perth’s Sumo Sound Studios (Shangrila) and George Lever of G1 Productions (Loathe, Thornhill, Pridelands), who mixed and mastered things.

Pincer+ hail from Perth. They are Jacson Robb on vocals, Josh Ang and Jordan Burn on guitars and Jack Nelson on drums.
