As Flaming Wrekage’s brutal fourth album tickles your earholes, you know this is something special. …
Make Them Suffer have dropped another taste of their upcoming album How To Survive A Funeral with brand new single Soul Decay.
MORE: PARKWAY DRIVE: Triumph Of The Underdogs // KICK OUT THE JAMS with Stepson // PARADISE LOST: Doom Unites Us REVIEWS: VIOLENT SOHO: Everything Is A-OK // ENTER SHIKARI: Nothing Is True & Everything Is Possible // THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER: Verminous // TRIVIUM: What The Dead Men Say // BOSTON MANOR: Glue // THE USED: Heartwork
Alongside a classic riff and catchy chorus, the track tells a familiar story of watching someone fall apart while failing to recognise the pattern of failure, often at one’s own hand. Frontman Sean Harmanis says, “Soul Decay is about watching someone deteriorate in front of you.”
“Many struggle to recognise that a recurring pattern of failure or disappointment is their often own-doing. To bear the blame of your own mistakes is something that’s difficult for most people. The lyric, ‘You built yourself this prison. Tear it down, burn it to the fucking ground’ is a call to action to rise above and accept your part.”
The Perth five-piece are set to release their upcoming, fourth full-length studio album How To Survive A Funeral on July 24th via Greyscale Records. The record takes inspiration from both their past and present sound, twisted together to create a contemporary, creative piece of artwork.
Make Them Suffer travelled to Los Angeles to work closely with Drew Fulk A.K.A WZRDBLD, who’s collaborated with everyone from Motionless In White and Bullet For My Valentine to Yelawolf and Lil’ Wayne.
