The video for the track was shot by Nathaniel Smith and edited by the prolific Colin Jeffs at Ten of Swords Media, stemming from a concept created by Smith. The track was produced by Jamie Marinos, with mixing and mastering done by Buster Odeholm at Impact Studios.

The band says the track is “about breaking away from an abusive family member. The song discusses recovering from experiencing domestic violence and escaping a damaging environment in order to heal. This escape comes with the realisation that family are sometimes the ones that hurt you the most and must be left behind in order to protect yourself. Manipulator is dedicated to anyone who has ever experienced or is recovering from any form of domestic violence.”

Lune is a bonafide cross-capital metalcore supergroup, consisting of members of Melbourne’s I, Valiance and Newcastle’s Blind Oracle. They’ve released one single so far, Ghost. Josh Merriel, host of triple j’s Short.Fast.Loud stated of Ghost: “This is so heavy that I am going to have to up my gains just so I can try and handle this track.” We wish him the best of luck.

Lune will launch Ghost and Manipulator on Saturday December 21st at Melbourne’s Stay Gold! Their debut show will be supported by ‘core mates Advocates, also launching their latest single Abaddon; also with Vatic, and Blood On My Hands.

Manipulator will see release tomorrow, Friday 6th December on streaming and digital download services.

Tickets for their Stay Gold! show are available from ReverseK.
