Produced, mixed and mastered by Chris Blancato (Northlane, ARTERIES, Roman Tragedy), the track was co-written by ex-founding band member and current Northlane drummer Nic Pettersen, who also co-wrote album tracks A Dream From Which I May Not Wake, Soul Slumber, Divide, Pride, and Almaida.

“For selfish and foolish reasons we can lead ourselves down paths with serious consequences.”, vocalist Tobias Atkins, says of the track. “Under the guise of a virtuous pursuit or belief, we try to defy nature herself to bend the rules of reality to our ideology. The repercussion for doing so can result in something catastrophic or traumatic. Something you may never come back from. Something you could have avoided if you had only listened to a voice on the wind that cared deeply about your wellbeing. Sacrifice yourself and your view of the world, if it means you will lead a better life.”

Glass Ocean has spent the better part of the last few years slogging it out on the touring circuit. Aside from a standout performance at PROGFEST 2019 (alongside international heavyweights The Ocean, Monuments, Skyharbor and many others), the band has also embarked on several Australian headliners and has shared the stage with scene heavyweights Seether, Wolfmother and Anathema, just to name a few. In between touring, they’ve also released two EPs, Glass Ocean (2014) and II (2015) garnering praise from industry critics and international artists like TesseracT and Polyphia

Since forming in the summer of 2013 as a side project for Atkins and Pettersen, the band’s lineup has evolved to feature Atkins (Vocals), Patrick Smith (Drums),  Eamonn Wooster (Bass) Nguyen Pham (Guitar) and Julian Dobric (Guitar), splitting their homebase between Sydney and Melbourne.
