Will Finger Tight ever miss? Their latest single, My Inner Child Is In Amityville, says no.

It’s the third serving of their upcoming album, Messages From The End Of The World, set to drop on Friday, October 21st, and it’s a personal one.

As frontman Sam Rogers explains, it was inspired by the realisations he formed from his childhood trauma and his subsequent empowerment.

“The uncomfortably honest lyrics acknowledge the harm and the impact that childhood trauma has, but I found I was able to empower myself and grow through it to reach the other side,” he says. “We hope that listeners who have experienced a similar past can seek refuge in the words and empower themselves through to the next step of their own journey.”

Finger Tight has come a long way since they first stomped their vans clad feet onto the scene. In just a few years, they’ve sold out multiple shows in their homeland of New Zealand and released a stack of punchy AND heavy pop-punk tunes. They’ve even been called the Kiwi equivalent of A Day To Remember – that alone should tell you how good their music is.

My Inner Child Is In Amityville was recorded and produced in-house by Rogers, with George Lever at G1 Studios (Loathe, Thornhill, Pridelands), adding an extra coat of polish.

To celebrate its release, Finger Tight will play a show in New Zealand on November 5th.

Tickets are on sale now.

You can also stream the track on all standard platforms.
