Though we aren’t inundated with review CDs any more (a what?), our inboxes are crammed …
The band is gearing up to kick 2022 off with a bang with the announcement of their seventh album, Heavy Steps, set to be released 21st January.

The title track has also been released which lead vocalist Andrew Neufeld says, “I think of our new single Heavy Steps as a bold statement of a riff right off the bat, and lyrically coming from an unhinged perspective about tearing through life. Instinct over reason—without even realising how easily our worlds could implode from under our feet. A bit of a “just test me” type sentiment is being echoed in this song.”
Accompanying the song is the music video that follows on from the mini-thriller that was No Easy Way Out. The new album is set to be full of Comeback Kid’s modern punk sound, with no lack of pure anthemic chaos. The eleven-song album embodies everything that makes the band who they are, “it’s heavy steps on thin ice. Heavy Steps on hollow ground.”
Comeback Kid’s album Heavy Steps will drop on 21st January and can be pre-saved here.
