Produced by Will Yip (The Menzingers, Tigers Jaw, Turnstile), the track showcases the band’s ability to strip down songwriting to provide something that’s both unique and familiar at the same time, a style that fans have come to know and love.
Guitarist Pete Steinkopf discussed the new song, saying, “We were in the studio when the pandemic was just beginning to get a head of steam. There were so many question marks, and no one really knew what was going on, this song came out of that moment. It came out of the question marks and the not knowing. This is a song to acknowledge how upside down the world seems to be in these times, and it’s a song about keeping the light in sight.”
The band’s signing to Pure Noise Records will see them pumping out even more new music in 2020. Based in California, Pure Noise Records is home to names such as The Amity Affliction, Knocked Loose, The Story So Far and plenty more massive names in the alt rock scene.
With over 30 years as a band, The Bouncing Souls have made their long-lasting career with a relentless touring schedule in their early days, performing classic, shout-along punk anthems teamed with full bodied melodies. Last year, the band released their Crucial Movements EP, reminding fans why they’re one of the most beloved and respected bands in punk rock.
