The punk rockers have topped triple j’s most played artists since FU’s release, with hype building a debut album is set for release on Australian independent label Dew Proceeds in 2019.

The video, directed by Marty Moyniham and Jeremy Hancock, features honed horror movie techniques to create an atmosphere similar to ones established in modern horrors like Get OutAll this brings Maz De Vita’s vocal performance to the forefront, as the Waax front woman’s yelled vocals further impassion the themes of grief present throughout the lyrics.

“This song is about a situation with someone in your life who is taking advantage of you and finally having to acknowledge reality and stand up to them,” said Maz De Vita. “I hope it’s as cathartic for the listener as it was to write.”

The song was written, recorded and produced with Grammy award winning producer Nick Didia, who has worked with acts as varied as Bruce Springstein, Korn and Rage Against the Machine, and Powderfinger frontman Bernard Fanning.

This is the Brisbane bands first release since 2018’s Labrador, the band recently performed at SXSW in Austin Texas and have support artists like Fallout Boy, Wolf Alice and Biffy Clyro.
