American metalcore long-haulers Unearth are back on Aussie soil this April-May and are bringing along some local favourites to support them.

With a career spanning over two decades, Unearth have worked tirelessly to create a catalogue of rock and roll classics and are sure to create waves when they return. The band have sold over half a million albums internationally over the years, and the thirst for new music was realised in 2018 with the release of Extinction(s).

For a band that’s been around for so long, Unearth have been able to reinvent themselves continuously. The release of Extinction(s) presented an album that would translate to a live setting almost flawlessly and harness a familiar sound with new innovations. Channelling the melodic prowess of modern European metal with the driving force of classic American Groove, Extinction(s) is set to be a gripping live experience alongside their already extensive catalogue.

The main support for the four-date run of shows is Victorian four piece and rising Aussie favourites The Ascended. Off the back of their 2018 LP Awaken Within, The Ascended are set to bring their crushing sound out again alongside Unearth. Drawing influence from groove, thrash and combining different sub-genres of metal, The Ascended are an exciting choice to join Unearth.
