Dear Joey and Brooke, What a wild ride! I just wanted to write to express …
Legendary metal pioneers Trivium have been on the scene for two decades and have given us eight full length studio albums, and now they’re about to release their ninth, What The Dead Men Say, on April 24th.
MORE: KICK OUT THE JAMS WITH DREGG // OCEAN GROVE: A Slight Return To Earth // THE AMITY AFFLICTION: Smoke ‘Em If You Got ‘Em REVIEWS: THE AMITY AFFLICTION: Everyone Loves You… Once You Leave Them // SAVIOUR: The Luna Rose // SILVERSTEIN: A Beautiful Place To Drown // OCEAN GROVE: Flip Phone Fantasy // CODE ORANGE: Underneath
Along with the announcement of the album they’ve also dropped the title track from the album and a brand-new film clip.
Interestingly, the video for What The Dead Men Say was shot entirely during the UK’s earlier stages of the Covid-19 shutdown restrictions. The entire video came together in just two weeks, with the full crew working in masks and gloves and maintaining as much distance as possible.
Trivium bassists Paolo Gregoletto states, “we always take seriously which song becomes the title track because it represents the album’s musical themes and ambition. What The Dead Men Say started off as two separate demos but emerged from the writing session as one epic tune. This is a riff beast!”
If this track is a sample of what’s to come, the album is sure to be another epic release from the band. So far, Trivium have been nominated for a Grammy for Best Metal Performance as well as winning an array of different awards, as well as five top-ten ARIA albums and hundreds of sold out shows.
Trivium was recently in Australia for Good Things Festival and we can see them back here when touring is given the green-light again.
What The Dead Men Say single and video are available now worldwide. The album will be out 24th April.
