Baltimore Hardcore favourites Trapped Under Ice are returning to Australia this April/May with special guests Born Free.

Formed in 2007, Trapped Under Ice took the American hardcore scene by storm by self-releasing a demo and growing rapidly enough to be signed to Reaper Records. Their first EP Stay Cold released in 2008 and was followed debut LP Secrets Of The World which was gritty and never over-stayed its welcome, it also situated the band as one of the best bands in the scene.

After their next LP, Big Kiss Goodnight, and more relentless touring the band went on hiatus in 2013. The band didn’t return for 2 years which left a hole in the hardcore scene which was felt internationally. Upon their return, the newly rejuvenated Trapped Under Ice released their third album, Heatwave.

The eight-date run of shows will be the first headline effort Trapped’ have made in Australia since 2012 and promises to bring a memorable live experience as they team up with Melbourne Hardcore five piece Born Free.

Born Free sonically have roots in NYC style hardcore and have a traditionalist approach to their music which makes them a perfect fit for this bill. Having toured with the likes Comeback Kid, Born Free are no strangers to sharing the stage with big names in the scene.
