Straying from their pop-punk and guitar sound, Slowly Slowly have shown their diversity with the track and themselves with this track. The original track comes off the bands St. Leonard’s LP from 2018. The album received high and universal acclaim and has recently been released in a special edition Vinyl, in a pink re-press.
Along with the track, the band has also released a music video with it. The video itself shows Slowly Slowly on tour and performing to their fans. It serves as a sweet, calming and tearful thank you to the fans. Front man Ben Stewart expresses deep and utter comfort about the track as a gift, “To all the people who have cared about the music we make enough for us to keep the wheels turning—this version is for you”
The band has had a busy two years as 2018 saw them tour the country twice. 2019 is looking to be their biggest yet. They have entered this year with supporting the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Australia’s own Amy Shark. The latter’s tour is already sold out in Melbourne and Fremantle with a newly announced show in Adelaide at the Thebarton Theatre on the 24th of May.
