Canberra natives Deathbeds will be back in the ears of metal fans across the country on Friday with the release of their highly anticipated new single Enough Isn’t Enough. The single is in advance of their upcoming concept album Sinner.

Deathbeds’ upcoming album Sinner aims to conceptualise the seven deadly sins and explores a narrative of a Priest who is abusing the sins. The first single from the album, What’s Yours is Mine and What’s Mine is Mine depicts greed and the Priests antagonism and precedes the narrative of Enough Isn’t Enough which is about gluttony and the Priests all-consuming power over the people.

Sonically, the forthcoming single is the heaviest on the album and is led by vocalist Kit Samin’s powerful vocals and is filled with diverse dynamics and tones. The upcoming LP promises to flesh out the sound the first two singles have introduced and help complete the narrative of the lyrics.

What separates Sinner from a lot of current metalcore is its narrative arc and religious allusions, it’s interesting to see a band push a complete story in a scene where thematically, the music differs a lot.

Sinner will be supported by an east coast tour in March and promises to introduce the album boldly in intimate settings. The Canberra six-piece will be bringing along metal newcomers from Sydney, Teeth.

Enough Isn’t Enough is out Friday 28th February and available at all online stores and streaming platforms.

Stay tuned for Sinner, out 13th March 13 – available for pre-order now!
