To celebrate the news, the band has also shared the music video for the title track of their latest EP, Happy Talk

Hailing from the Japanese island of Kyushu, Paledusk released their four-tracker Happy Talk this year. They impressed with their unique blend of metalcore, industrial, nu-metal, and EDM, naturally catching the attention of one of our nation’s premier heavy music labels.

“We’re over the moon to have Paledusk join the Greyscale records family”, says the label’s head honcho Josh Merriel. “It’s always been a huge goal for Greyscale to branch out of the Australian music scene and for the first international artist to be from Japan is a huge honour for us. The music scene over there is ahead of the game and we are excited to join Paledusk on their journey to help them get the global recognition that they deserve.”

The band themselves have shared the excitement. “We’re so happy to be a part of Greyscale Records family”, says frontman Kaito. “We’re so excited to make a new history of us with you guys. See you all soon! Arigato!”

Paledusk has been active on the touring circuit over the last five years and have developed some pretty strong ties to the Australian heavy scene in the process. They recently supported their label mates Alpha Wolf, as well as Polaris and The Amity Affliction on a string of Japanese tours.

Happy Talk is available now through Greyscale Records, you can catch all the deets here. In the meantime, keep an ear out for new music – the band has promised it’s not far away!
