A FU To Big Tech

The Opinion Industry is here to kick ass and take names, this time with their system-shaking new single, They’re Recording This.

The trio has embraced the formula that made Opinions such a success, again taking cues from the alt scene of the 90s and early noughties.

In doing this, they’ve delivered something that’s both nostalgic and punchy. There’s a whole lot packed into the short run-time, notably a colossal blend of punk, metal and hard rock- something that’s quickly become a staple for the band. And listen up if you’re a fan of System of a Down because there are very Serj Tankianesque tones on offer here, and they will blow your damn mind.

The Opinion Industry has made one thing crystal clear. They aren’t just a band, they’re a movement.

Ultimately though, this track could be classified as pissed off punk with a whole lot of purpose. If this were School of Rock, Jack Black’s Dewey Finn would be proud because They’re Recording This is the ultimate stick it to the man anthem. It is angry, fearless, and a defiant stand against big tech and the complete lack of privacy present in the digital world. Despite only being a few singles in, The Opinion Industry has made one thing crystal clear. They aren’t just a band, they’re a movement.

STICK THIS NEXT TO: System Of A Down, Rage Against The Machine, Billy Talent
