Melbourne groove metallers Idiot Dog Brain has released the official video for Uncle Satan, the first single from their debut EP Uneasy Listening.

Shot and directed by Karl Steller of Gravemind and Boris The Blade, the video tells the story of its titular character and his struggle with his unconventional last name. Eventually taking his true form as the Prince of Darkness, Uncle Satan unleashes hellfire on the society that persecuted him.
Since forming in 2018, Idiot Dog Brain has developed a reputation for their grungy groove metal sound, making chunky, downtuned riffs and gamer-esque keyboard lines their musical staples. The five-piece has also turned heads with the batshit insane vocal style of frontman Claude Van Satan, which mixes frenzied screams, punchy mid-range barks and rhythmic spoken word. The band has described themselves as “the unloved and unwanted result of a nasty drunken fling between irrational thought and sinister intention”.
Uncle Satan appears on Uneasy Listening, which dropped on 17th of October. You can listen to both the single and EP now on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Tidal and every other service where good music is streamed.
No word has been given on any immediate touring plans for the band. Until then, you can catch them thrashing about in the muddy black waters at the bottom of the stinking pub toilet of your mind.
