Philadelphia-hailing rockers Mannequin Pussy have been conjuring music that moves, both physically and mentally, since …
Halloween Hysteria is throwing triple sixes all over the place, announcing six huge additions to the line-up: Tapestry, Smoking Martha, and Blood Knuckles on the Friday, with Shandy, Descent, and Azreal joining Saturday’s festivities.
This year’s Halloween Hysteria has multiplied like the walking dead; this year the full rock regalia will be laid out over two massive nights in the BNE: Friday, 25th of October and Saturday, 26th of October at The Valley Drive-In and The Brightside.
Over two nights come two massive headliners: Friday will see psychedelic alt-rock darlings Dead Letter Circus take us on a trip to worlds of musical wonder, while Saturday will have Aussie pub rock legends Cosmic Psychos tear up the joint so loud the Devil himself can hear it!
Local legends Dead Letter Circus have been serving up their psychedelic alt rock since 2004 with dense and tripped out tunes that rush and latch on to your cannabinoid receptors. They’ll be playing cuts from 2018’s Dead Letter Circus album as well as tracks from their previous three records, all hitting #2 on the ARIA Album Chart. They’re not just a band—they’re a complete experience!
As for Cosmic Psychos … they’re bloody pub-punk legends, by crikey. They’ve been tearing up watering holes and iron-clad shacks since ‘84, touring with dead set rock royalty such as Mudhoney, Nirvana, L7, Helmet and Motörhead. Hit with a stick of NQR suburban horror and piling on a whole mess of heavy riffs, Cosmic Psychos will have everyone rockin’. Grab a beer, get stuck in.
Highlights in Friday’s bubbling cauldron of trouble are ‘core rising stars Justice For The Damned, dark post-hardcore force Deadlights, and nu-metal torchbearers RedHook.
New bill highlights for Friday include Northern Territory heavy upstarts Tapestry, deluxe rock ‘n’ roll world beaters Smoking Martha, and metalcore rising stars Blood Knuckles.
Americo-Danish psychobilly kings Nekromantix, Sydney ska stalwarts The Porkers, and the Blaze in the Southern-most skies, Tasmania’s very own Ruins are the luminaries among Saturday’s line-up.
Saturday also sees a trio of debauchery join them with bovver rockers Shandy, the impenetrably black and dense Descent, plus must-see groove metallers Azreal.
To see our fantastic purveyors of riff and tune, you need not cross our palms with silver. In fact, tickets are on sale now:
$50 + b/f for Friday’s festivities
$70 + b/f for Saturday’s shindig
$99 + b/f for both days (limited two day passes available)
