GOOD THINGS FESTIVAL // Smash It Out Of The Park With Line-Up Announcement

The enigmatic Good Things Festival has revealed it’s smashing line-up, with The Offspring and Stone Sour taking pride of place among the constellation of punk and metal stars.

Arriving in the form of cryptic posters earlier this month and a surprise announcement of UK pop-punks Boston Manor and WA’s very own Make Them Suffer, we now know the full bill; and it’s a bit of a ripper.

Cali-punk stalwarts The Offspring will arrive to play 1994’s iconic Smash in its entirety, joined by co-headliners rock superstars Stone Sour.

The Offspring have become one of punk rock’s most beloved acts, playing over 1100 shows across the globe and sold more than 40 million albums worldwide. Rockers Stone Sour, led by Slipknot screamer Corey Taylor, have almost become part of the furniture in Australia, with latest album Hydrograd reaching #2 on the ARIA Album Charts.

Other highlights on the bill are pop-punks All Time Low, Celtic punks Dropkick Murphys, metal torchbearers Bullet For My Valentine, emo legends the Used, equally emo Dashboard Confessional, and J-metal Kitsune enthusiasts Babymetal, for what will be their first ever Australian performance.

Dashboard Confessional will be performing a special set from The Places You Have Come To Fear The Most as well as fan favourites.

Other international highlights include The Wonder Years, Emmure, La Dispute, Mayday Parade, Waterparks, and Palaye Royale.

A healthy Aussie tilt is on the line-up, including butt-kickers WAAX, Halloween Hysteria alumni (well, they will be) Void of Vision, heart-on-sleeve rockers The Smith Street Band, future-punk Ecca Vandal, and pop-punk earthcore warriors Tonight Alive.

The fest will take in the east coast this December: Friday the 7th in Melbourne, Saturday the 8th in Sydney, and Sunday the 9th in Brisbane.

To get your piece of Good Things, tickets for the festival go on sale Thursday, 30th of August at 9am local time via OzTix.
