GO AHEAD AND DIE // Unleashes A ‘Truckload Full Of Bodies’

Arizonian metal trio Go Ahead And Die have just released a Truckload Full Of Bodies, not literally in case you were wondering (well at least that wasn’t what their press release told us).

Truckload Full Of Bodies is the very first single off Go Ahead And Die’s upcoming debut self-titled album. To mark this occasion the band has also unveiled a music video directed by Jim Louvau and Tony Anguilera to accompany the new track. The video features powerful imagery of a person wearing a bio-hazard suit dragging body bags full of the band members to the morgue.

Guitarist and vocalist Max Cavalera gives his insight into Truckload Full Of Bodies, saying that it “is a dark x-ray of the Covid-19 pandemic. It examines the way certain politicians in 2020 didn’t care about their citizens. Hypocrites took care of themselves, and did not care about the rest of us dying.”

Go Ahead and Die’s other band members also reinforced the band’s noise and the decision to release Truckload Full Of Bodies as the first single. Igor Amadeus says “Like a riot breaking through your windows, G.A.A.D arrives with a revolting mix of punk and metal, the perfect soundtrack to these dismal time,” Zach Coleman adds “I think [Truckload Full Of Bodies] perfectly sets the tone for the album.”

The self-titled debut album is made up of eleven tracks featuring some strong song titles including: Toxic Freedom, Isolated/Desolated and Worth Less Than Piss. The band says that the new album “sounds like a relic from the glory days of thrash, proto-death metal, and filthy rotten punk, the kind of band that would inspire a teenaged thrasher in 1987 to carve the G.A.A.D logo into a school desk.”

The album will be released on 11th June 2021 via Nuclear Blast Records.
