Dear Joey and Brooke, What a wild ride! I just wanted to write to express …
Hard rock outfit Faux Bandit have geared up to release their latest adrenaline pumping single, The Pros and Cons of Object Permanence.

Packed with a whole lotta rock and rage, the track meets somewhere between the worlds of heavy and indie rock and explores the anxiety one gets when running from their past. “Pros and Cons is about the inability to forget, to escape your past”, says frontman Adam Brill. “It’s about charging forward and being terrified to look back.”
Fittingly, the track does a great job of perpetuating this. Brash, snare pelting beats hit right off the bat—it’s enough to send anyone’s heart rate skyrocketing really!
Showing their progression, the Brisbane boys have also experimented with fluid basslines and vocal melodies, and trust us when we say they’ll be stuck in your head like a wad of gum on the bottom of your shoe.
Faux Bandit released their debut EP The Better You Look, The More You See back in July 2015. In the years that followed, they released a second EP and picked up support slots for acts including Strangers, Interim and PLTS.
Their last single, Lyrebird Lungs, was released 12 months ago. Since then, they have supported Andrew Stockdale (the frontman of Wolfmother) on the Brisbane leg of his Slipstream tour and welcomed their third member (Zac Sakrewski on bass).
The Pros and Cons of Object Permanence will feature on the band’s upcoming third EP, set to drop on 19th July. It will hit all streaming and digital music outlets on Friday the 28th of June.
While no official dates have been pencilled in yet, the band have also announced that they’ll be hitting the East Coast this August-October, taking the EP on tour with them.
