Novocastrian five-piece Eat Your Heart Out have just released their newest track Carousel with Fearless Records/Caroline Australia.

The tune was co-written by Patrick Miranda of Californian band Movements, and produced by Zach Tuch.

The band explaines the track is about “the constant cycle of thoughts in your head that go back and forth between doubting yourself and believing that you aren’t good enough, and then having a moment of clarity when you know you’re being irrational”, a cycle that so many of us can relate to. The relatable and honest lyrics combined with the band’s trademark edgy pop-punk sound lead by vocalist Caitlin Henry yields another stellar effort.

The powerful track provides a glimpse into the band’s inner world, showing similarities to Australian pop-punk powerhouse Tonight Alive but with enough individuality to avoid becoming carbon copies. Henry delivers beautiful vocals, opening up potential for huge worldwide success.

The future looks bright for the group, having already released three EPs since forming in 2012 and getting signed with the hugely popular Fearless Records. They have shown they know how to entertain fans at live shows as well, having supported pop-punk giants including Trophy Eyes, Hands Like Houses and Real Friends, to name a few. More recently, the group performed at Australia’s Download Festival over the weekend as well as at a Download kick-off party with Sum 41 earlier in the year.

Their latest release will surely have fans excited to see what the young band will produce next, and if the next batch of tunes is anything like Carousel, they won’t be disappointed.
