With their new album just out, Melbourne Punk Rockers Clowns have announced tour dates around Australia, with the promise of national dates soon to follow.

Kicking off in June the Clowns will play in Hobart, Brisbane, Sydney, Newcastle, Adelaide, Melbourne, Perth, Banbury, and the Gold Coast.

Clowns will play a variety of venues, from intimate gigs to some of the largest of the bands touring career. Nature/Nurture, Clowns third album features 11 songs including singles: Prick, I Wanna Feel Again, Freezing in the Sun and I Shaved My Legs For You.

The album shows a band willing to experiment, I Wanna Feel Again features a melodic and sombre opening before heading into a more punk based sound while Prick veers into heavy metal and sweet picking solos.

Nature/Nurture features varied lyrical elements, Prick shows the bands disapproval of ‘jerk’ musicians and I Shaved My Legs For You focuses on the workers at an S&M club.

Released on 12th of May, the limited coloured vinyl run-out has already sold out and has received multiple plaudits, including a nine rating by Hysteria.

Clowns previous touring highlights include playing to 56,000 people supporting the Foo Fighters in Melbourne and a performance at prestigious German heavy metal festival Wacken Open Air. The band will be joined by their buddies Private Function who look set to release their first full length album on Damaged.
