Avalanche are an electrifying, misfit rock n’ roll band from Western Sydney who’ve firmly cemented themselves into the national underground scene.

After just two years as a band, the four-piece boast national and international airplay and even their own music festival.

With two singles and a double EP under their belt already, they’ve recently released new single and video Permanent Ink. Covering the highly relatable topic of society judging others by their tattoos, scars and experiences many people wear on their sleeves, the song crosses all borders of rock, metal, thrash, doom and punk to create the grimy track.

Permanent Ink was recorded, mixed and mastered at Def Wolf Studios in Kurnell by Mark Matula and comes just three months off the back of the band’s first headlining east-coast tour for their debut double-EP Sent From Hell.

The video features live footage of the band’s set recorded by Haus Party at Crowbar, Sydney for the band’s own Avalanche Rock Fest in 2019 alongside footage of a time lapse of tattoo artists completing an epic piece at Blacktown Tattoos.

The band finds their inspiration from the classic rock, punk and metal records from their dad’s collections, and play through the interpretation of a new generation, winning over new fans every time they play.

Avalanche had planned to shoot off for a three month, 14-date national headline tour for Permanent Ink before of course having to postpone it due to the pandemic. We’ll just have to keep patiently waiting to see these misfits destroy our stages.
