$UICIDEBOY$ // Team Up With Travis Barker And Korn Guitarist ‘Munky’ On New EP

New Orleans-based rap duo $UICIDEBOY$, comprised of cousins $crim and Ruby da Cherry, are arguably the most cultish hip-hop act in the music industry today.

Their genre bending music, combining $crim’s hip-hop influences with Ruby’s punk rock background, quickly gathered them a devoted following, evidenced by the fact that the duo constantly sell out their live shows shortly after they are announced!

Back in March a, now deleted, instagram post from the duo hinted at a collaboration with Blink 182 drummer, Travis Barker. Barker is no stranger to hip-hop collaborations, having previously worked with Yelawolf, Run The Jewels and Nottz, to name a few. Even his debut solo album, Give The Drummer Some, was a very hip-hop centric release, featuring contributions from hip-hop heavyweights Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes, Cypress Hill and Lupe Fiasco, amount others. So, naturally, the announcement of this collaboration created some serious hype!

Now it is here! You can finally get you ears around Live Fast, Die Whenever, a six-track EP that surprisingly also heavily features Korn guitarist James ‘Munky’ Shaffer. It goes hard! Barker’s frenzied drumming and Munky’s down-tuned guitar assault really compliment Ruby’s and $crim’s aggro vocal approach and flaunt the duo’s punk rock/metal influences like never before!

Following a sold out headline run in Australia earlier this year–including back-to-back 170 Russell (Melbourne) shows and Sydney’s Enmore Theatre–the duo will embark a 22-date North American tour in July, joined by Denzel CurryShoreline MafiaNight LovellGerm and Sacramento hardcore band Trash Talk.
