SABATON // Unveil First Trailer For ‘The Great War’

Swedish power metal band Sabaton have released the first trailer for their forthcoming ninth studio album The Great War.

Due for release on 19 July 2019, The Great War is a concept album covering events of the First World War. As bassist Pär Sundström states, “This is the biggest album we have taken on so far. There is more depth and story around the songs that we have ever had before.”

The trailer features Sundström and vocalist Joakim Brodén discussing various elements of the album. Writing for The Great War began on the hundredth anniversary of the end of WWI and will be released to coincide with Sabaton’s own twenty-year celebrations. Produced at Black Lion Studios with Jonas Kjellgren and mastered by Maor Appelbaum, The Great War features artwork by Peter Sallaí. The trailer revealed today follows the recent release of the first single and music video Fields Of Verdun. The Great War will be available on CD and LP, as the Album Edition and the History Edition.
